Music has always been a vital force in my life.
At the early age of four, I had my first musical experience when my parents bought me my first musical instrument: a toy drum set. My parents could not keep me off the little throne - hitting those drums all at the same time, really loud!! Of course that did not last very long, as my folks could not get any sleep with all of that noise. Hence, the drums had to go! After briefly taking up flute lessons in elementary school, I had experienced a revelation after watching Michael J. Fox playing guitar on “Johnny Be Good”, in the Movie “Back To The Future”. It was on my eleventh birthday when my father bought me the instrument that would set me on course to a long journey: a cheap electric guitar and amplifier! I began learning songs from my friends, and formed bands for the high school talent shows, and by the age of thirteen, we were playing in my garage a small repertoire of rock & roll covers from Nirvana, Guns and Roses, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Hendrix and Pink Floyd; …all the stuff we were into.
At 15th I started taking private lessons, learning more about the instrument, and more about music in general,(ie. styles, composition, etc…) I was also playing and writing songs with my first rock band, Edera.
At age eighteen, I began playing clubs and pubs throughout Italy, with another band called Dog Party, a rock & blues cover band, grinding it out with rock & jazz musicians of the Italian scene.
At the age of twenty, I moved to the United States of America to attend the Musicians Institute in sunny Los Angeles, California, where I studied and jammed with some of the most amazing musicians in the world. I also started collaborating with the Italian Guitar Magazine, AXE PERIODICO PER CHITARRISTI, as a US correspondent.
After graduating from the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) in 2000, I began my career working in the Los Angeles music scene as a session musician. I have been very fortunate to have worked on projects for national TV shows, major movie trailers and soundtracks, and records in both the United States and Europe. I have also had wonderful opportunities to have played and/or recorded with some of the finest musicians in the world such as:
Matt Bissonette; Oscar Cartaya; Tommy Coster Jr.; John Pena; Vinnie Colaiuta; Toss Panos; Enzo Todesco; Bob Franceschini; Paul Jackson Jr; Greg Bissonette; John Baseley; Otmar Ruiz; Oskar Seaton; Zucchero; Ricky Lawson; Michito Sanchez, etc.
In 2003, I recorded and released my first solo album as writer and producer, entitled “A Guy With An Accent”, an album that has gained international fame by both European and U.S. press. Since then, I have started my own studio facility and recording company called MOODY’S TONE PRODUCTIONS.
I am currently residing in Los Angeles, recording, writing, producing and playing guitars. The followings are some of my credits:
